Senior PR & Marketing Communications Executive

We are looking for a Senior PR & Marketing Communications Executive, who is a hands-on, equal-parts storyteller and marketer who will own both the public relations and general marketing functions at WORQ. This is a 50/50 role; half your time is spent securing and managing WORQ's media presence and brand reputation across national and tech press; the other half is driving day-to-day marketing execution that fills our spaces and grows our community.
You will be the engine behind WORQ's voice-pitching our expansion milestones to The Edge and Bernama one day, and crafting a lead gen campaign for a new outlet launch the next. If you thrive in a fast-moving environment where no two weeks look the same, this role is built for you.

I) PR & media relations:
Develop and execute proactive PR strategies that position WORQ as the authority on coworking, flexible workspaces, and the future of work in Malaysia.
Work with PR agencies to write and distribute press releases, media pitches, op-eds, and media kits tied to WORQ milestones — new outlet launches, expansion announcements, industry partnerships, and award submissions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and editors across WORQ's key media verticals.
Proactively identify newsjacking and thought leadership opportunities — pitching WORQ's CEO and co-founders for commentary on workplace trends, Malaysia's real estate landscape, and the future of hybrid work.
Monitor media coverage, track share of voice, and prepare regular PR performance reports for management.
II) Marketing execution:
Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns tied to outlet launches, seasonal promotions, membership drives, and enterprise sales support.
Produce and manage email marketing campaigns via tools like Hubspot, targeting prospects, members, and enterprise leads.
Assist in managing the marketing and PR budget, including vendor coordination and invoice processing.
Plan and coordinate the production of offline marketing materials including flyers, brochures, buntings, pull-up banners, signages, and outdoor collateral for new outlet launches, promotional campaigns, and membership drives.
Manage the placement and distribution strategy for offline materials across WORQ locations, surrounding areas, transit hubs, and partner premises — particularly relevant given WORQ's presence in high-footfall areas like KL Sentral and Bangsar.
Coordinate with building management and landlord partners on co-branded signage, lobby displays, and wayfinding materials for new or expanded outlets.
III) PR and marketing events:
Champion the planning and execution of company’s PR and marketing events, such as Outlet Launch, KOL-exclusive events, Real Estate Agencies appreciation nights and on-ground lead gen marketing events.
Act as an on-site brand ambassador during events to capture content and promote WORQ’s brand.
IV) Additional ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.

More than 5 years of experience in PR, journalism, copywriting, or corporate communications.
Strong writing skills across formats: a formal press release, a punchy LinkedIn post, a CEO op-ed, and a property media pitch should all feel equally comfortable to you.
Solid understanding of the marketing funnel and how PR activity supports brand awareness and lead generation.
Practical experience with marketing tools (e.g., Canva, Hubspot, social media management tools, or Google Analytics).
Existing relationships with local media or a proven ability to build a network quickly.
Experience coordinating events or launches, including on-site brand management.
Candidates who actively learn or experiment with AI tools to improve work processes, research, and productivity will have an added advantage.
