Technician

As a Workplace Management Technician at WORQ, you will be at the heart of our mission to deliver a seamless and high-quality workspace experience to our community of enterprises, businesses, entrepreneurs and remote teams. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our coworking spaces by ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained, safe and functioning at peak performance.
You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, repairs, workspace setups, inventory and asset tracking and coordination with vendors. Your work directly contributes to creating an inspiring, productive, and hassle-free environment for our members and thus, ensuring that WORQ continues to be the most flexible, accessible, and reliable workspace solution in the market.

Job responsibilities:
1. Workplace operations support:
Conduct daily workplace inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality of all workspaces.
Monitor and resolve minor maintenance issues (e.g., lighting, temperature, plumbing, furniture).
Support space planning activities including desk arrangements, meeting room setups, and moves.
Perform equipment checks and troubleshoot AV and IT infrastructure (non-technical level).
Work closely with the Outlet Teams to ensure service quality and address concerns effectively.
2. Facilities maintenance coordination:
Liaise with external vendors and service providers (cleaning, HVAC, security, M&E, etc.) to ensure timely and quality service.
Escalate and follow up on major maintenance or repair works with contractors and internal teams.
Monitor building management systems (BMS) and report abnormalities.
Liaise with building management on critical operational matters, including power shutdowns, fire drills, and general facility maintenance to ensure continuous operations.
Maintain logs of repair and maintenance activities.
3. Health, safety & compliance:
Ensure workplace health & safety standards are upheld (fire exits, first aid, emergency protocols).
Support EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) audits and compliance reporting.
Participate in workplace emergency drills and act as a fire warden or safety marshal if required.
4. Administration & reporting:
Maintain inventory of assets and consumables.
Assist in preparing monthly reports on workplace KPIs (space utilization, maintenance SLAs, etc.).
Update records, SOPs, and incident logs as required.

Job requirements:
Minimum Certificate PW4/PW2/Chargeman/A1 or Diploma in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering, or related field.
2+ years experience in facilities or workplace operations; preferably in a multinational or large office environment.
Familiar with FM systems, CAFM tools, BMS, and vendor management platforms.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proactive, hands-on, and detail-oriented.
Basic understanding of workplace safety and local regulatory compliance.
Exposure to large-scale office operations or regional workplace portfolios.
Familiarity with ESG/sustainability practices in facilities.
Comfortable with workplace technology and digital ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceDeck).
